Property Rights
Too many times, and more frequently, legislators in the Seattle-side of our state are telling us Eastern Washington residents how to live. I am concerned every time I hear a friend, neighbor or client tell me that greener pastures are on the other side of the Washington/Idaho border. The green pastures are here and I’m here to protect them. To keep Eastern Washington a place worth living in, a place to be proud to raise our families.
Housing
From where we can build to how we can heat our homes and prepare our food with natural gas, virtue-signaling regulations and laws are increasing the cost of housing and are driving developers, business-owners and residents away from Eastern Washington. Heightened and unnecessary regulations are putting undue financial burdens on potential home buyers.
Education
The job of our schools is to educate not indoctrinate. Educate our kids with discipline, kindness and logic. Put parents in the driver seat of their children’s education..
Protection & Law Enforcement
Laws should handcuff criminals not cops. Community safety is a community value, and is one of my number one priorities by fully supporting law enforcement training and resources to keep them and the community members safe.
Relief from Government Overreach & Endless Taxation
Taxation with strong representation is one of the cornerstones of American democracy. As a Representative I will ensure that the voice of the people of the 4th District is heard, and the frivolous, unnecessary and reckless spending and government overreach is stood up to with the values of Eastern Washington being upheld, not the values of Seattle.
Prosperity through Hard Work
Common sense says if you work hard you should proposer. In my work no one gives anyone anything; you do a hard day’s work and you get a fair day’s wage, we all hold our heads up high. The government gets their fair share when they do their job responsibly but bigger government is not responsible, it is inefficient and wasteful, I’m not ok with funding that.
